What a time record can and cannot say about burnout
Burnout is exhaustion, distance from the work, and a drop in what the person can do. A productivity tracker does not diagnose it. A manager can still look at the load the computer record shows, and then talk to the person.
Signals that are worth a conversation
- Productive time over the daily goal on many days. In the charts, red means over the goal, not “tried hard” and not “unwell.”
- A schedule with no real off hours.
- One person carrying the meetings and the tools while other people on the team are idle.
- On Workforce Management, the workload view compares people with that goal.
What to do with a signal
Ask. Change the load, the hours, or the staffing if the work is the problem. Do not treat a chart as a medical finding, and do not treat a quiet chart as proof that someone is fine. How a person feels is not in the data.
Mycroscope can show the hours, the goal and the gap. It cannot tell you how someone feels.
