Does Mycroscope take screenshots?
No. It records the application, the website, and active or idle time, plus anything else the company’s monitoring notice lists.
How much does it cost?
Free is R0 for up to 3 people. Work Activity Tracking is R100, Workforce Management is R200, and Productivity Optimization is R300 per seat per month, before VAT. You choose how many seats to buy. With VAT at 15% one seat for a year is R1,380, R2,760 or R4,140. A seat added later has its own year and its own end date. Full pricing.
Who can see someone’s activity?
The person themselves, and managers who are allowed to see them. Live “who is working right now” is included from Work Activity Tracking upward. On Free, a manager still sees the name and today’s active and idle time.
How long is history kept?
30 days on Free, 6 months on Work Activity Tracking and Workforce Management, and 12 months on Productivity Optimization. The owner can keep a shorter period. Privacy details.
Where is the download?
The Windows installer is on the download page. You need an organisation account, the install key, and an activation code for each person.
Can I use it without telling staff?
The product publishes a monitoring notice and asks each employee to acknowledge it. A company still has to meet POPIA. This site does not give legal advice.
