How it works

A notice, a desktop app, then the reports.

Recording follows the rules the company publishes. The employee acknowledges that notice. Managers then use the same figures for the dashboard, insights and exports.

Observe

The Windows app notes the active app, the website, and whether the person is active, idle or away. Meetings and breaks can be added when someone is away from the computer. Screen contents are not captured.

Classify

Apps and websites fall into productive, unproductive or neutral. A company rule applies everywhere, and a team rule can override it. Goals say how many productive hours a day counts as a full day.

Report

Managers filter by day, team and person. Paid plans add live status, workload, capacity and a written report. Employees open their own record. A view of someone else’s detailed activity is written to the audit log.

What the installer asks for

The download is Mycroscope-Setup.exe. During setup the computer needs the company install key, so a person cannot reinstall the agent on their own. After that, they sign in with the activation code from their invitation.
