A time blocking method that survives a real week
Time blocking means the day is named before it starts: deep work, meetings, admin, and a stop. A block that always overruns is a wish, not a plan.
Try it for five days
- Put the hardest work in a part of the day you can protect.
- Batch messages instead of leaving the inbox open.
- Leave one block for work that arrives unplanned.
- Stop when the block ends. Write what spilled, and shorten tomorrow rather than stretching tonight.
What the tracker adds
Mycroscope does not draw the blocks on a calendar. From Work Activity Tracking upward it can compare activity with a fixed or flexible schedule. The next day you can see whether computer time sat inside those hours, and which apps took them. The schedule is the plan. The record is what the computer actually did.
