RescueTime alternatives for a team account
RescueTime records applications and websites automatically and turns that into a focus picture, for a person and on team plans. Mycroscope records the same kind of computer activity for an organisation. This page is not a ranking.
What is different
- Mycroscope is an organisation account. A manager invites people. Recording follows the company’s monitoring notice only after a person acknowledges it.
- Employees can open their own activity. Managers see the people their role allows.
- The desktop app that records the day runs on Windows. The dashboard is in the browser. Prices on this site are in rand and are billed yearly per seat.
- Mycroscope does not photograph the screen and does not read the contents of files.
- Goals, schedules, teams and written reports depend on the plan. A feature that is not in the plan is hidden.
RescueTime remains a known focus record, especially for one person. Check RescueTime’s own pricing page before you compare cost. This page does not quote those prices because they change.
How to choose
Choose Mycroscope when the company needs one shared account, a notice, and manager reports. Choose a personal focus app when there is no organisation and no need for roles. If the missing piece is a timer for client billing, look at a timer such as Toggl Track instead. That is a different job.
